PSYCHOSEXUAL EVALUATIONS
A comprehensive psychosexual evaluation is conducted to determine a client’s overall level of risk for sexual re-offending, specific changeable risk factors to target in treatment, and any factors that may be a barrier to engaging in treatment or require a specialized way to deliver treatment (e.g., major mental illness, trauma, learning disabilities, etc.). The psychosexual evaluation is critical part of the treatment process, because it serves as a basis for who needs to treatment, what needs to be targeted in treatment, and how treatment is to be delivered.
