Our Patients
Who We Work With
Interventions used are scientifically supported and have shown to be effective in addressing a variety of behavioral addictions, including compulsive sexual behavior.
Individuals
A cognitive-behavioral approach is used. This approach is based on the idea that our thoughts influence our feelings and behavior and that our behaviors are learned through our experiences in life. Concepts from positive psychology are also used to help build a quality fulfilling life.
Group
Provides the opportunity to build collaborative supportive relationships with others who are experiencing similar problems to learn new skills and abilities to help improve overall life satisfaction.
Couples
Having a quality relationship can be key in being able to make changes for a better life. Sometimes mental health issues and compulsive sexual behavior has negatively impacted the relationship. Couples therapy provides an opportunity for partners to work collaboratively on change.
Family
Mental health issues and compulsive sexual behavior my require all members of the family to be involved to look at how the family unit has been impacted. Family therapy provides an opportunity for each family member to engage and benefit from the change process.
Comprehensive Evaluations
Using a whole person approach, evaluations are conducted to determine the best treatment approach. Additionally, specialized assessments are also available to assess areas such as sexual interest, risk for sexual offense, and credibility (i.e., to verifying assessment results and progress in treatment)
Welcome
Endeavor Psychological Services, LLC
Endeavor takes a whole person approach to treating mental health issues and specializing in the treatment of compulsive sexual behavior (CSB). There are many pathways to CSB, such as an imbalance of natural brain chemicals, changes in brain pathways, diseases and medical conditions, mental health, trauma, social/environmental factors, ease of access through online mediums, etc. If CSB is to be treated successively, a comprehensive assessment and a range of interventions are necessary.
There is no reason to continue to struggle with feelings of guilt or shame, risk losing important relationships or a job, accumulating debts, contracting or passing on sexually transmitted infections, or engaging in sex related criminal offenses. Treatment options are available.
